Do Your Actions Match Your Goals?
By admin on Oct 8, 2010 in Health and Fitness
One important element of reaching your goals is making sure that the actions you take throughout your day match up with your ultimate goal.
For example, if you’re trying to lose 25 pounds you must make consistent choices, decisions, and actions every day to reach that goal. If you don’t change your current regime or only make a few good choices during the day you’ll have a very difficult time achieving that 25 pound weight loss.
I witnessed a real life example of this when I was at a cafe today and the women in front of me ordered a large latte and a pecan sticky bun. Now typically I wouldn’t think much of this because people make these types of unhealthy choices every day, but in this particular case I recognized that this woman was a weight loss personal training client of a friend mine. Obviously in this example we can clearly see that her choice to eat a sticky bun and a large latte isn’t moving her closer to her weight loss goals. Will this one choice totally derail her from achieving her goals? No, but it’s important to remember that every action that doesn’t move you towards your goal is forcing you to take another step back.
You are the total sum of your actions and the more aware we can become of that the better…
