How to Use YouTube to Watch Fitness Videos

I’m by no means trying to be the “form police,” but I do worry that others online watching these videos will try to mimic the form that the trainer or demonstrator is exhibiting. This could potentially lead to injury or unsafe weight lifting practice.

On the other hand, there are thousands of excellent fitness videos taking you through exercise routines and variations to help you better understand each movement. Although it is impossible for me to pick out which ones are the best videos for you to watch what I would recommend is using a simple rule for picking out the best and safest videos.

What I would do is focus more on the video demonstrations where the fitness professional is taking you through each step of the process. It’s even better if they have another person in the video with them so that one person can complete the exercise while the other is explaining how to do it. The speaker can also show you what to look for at certain parts of the movement in order for you to stay safe and in control of the exercise.

Hopefully by using this method you’ll be able to quickly sift through the millions of videos out there and opt for the ones created by fitness professionals looking to help you create the body you’re trying to achieve!
