You know the feeling: you’re going about your day. minding your own business, when you get this nagging feeling. Your mind drifts to the sandwich in the fridge, the vending machine around the corner, or the diner down the street. You’re hungry, you reason, so you should eat, right? But are you really hungry, or is something else eating you?
Eating when we aren’t truly hungry is a common diet saboteur. And as much as we’d like to believe that we can gauge our own appetites, the truth is that most of us, at some point or another, eat when we’re not really hungry. Doing this too often, of course, leads to unwanted pounds. Before digging in next time the urge strikes, review this checklist. Your waistline might thank you later.
