Slow and Steady…

slow and steady thumb 200x143 73481 Slow and Steady...I know we’re all after the fast results and the quick fixes because that’s what initially gets us motivated, but I have to say that there may be a better way…

I have a session in about 30 minutes from now with a client that I’ve been working with for 12 weeks now. She told me right from the start that she hasn’t been able to lose any significant amount of weight or keep it off for over 10 years. When she came to me her goals were to lose 30 pounds and develop an overall healthy lifestyle.

Although she promised to walk every day, she was also only willing to commit to 3 total days per week of exercise. She did, however, agree to follow her healthy eating and weight loss plan exactly as stated (including “reward” meals).

Well, after 12 weeks I’m happy to say that she is down 23.7 pounds and I’m willing to bet she’ll be down another pound this week when she weighs in. You see, our goal has been just to lose 1 pound a week until she reaches her goal so that she doesn’t become overwhelmed with the weight loss process.

 Slow and Steady...
