Women’s Hair Trend – Lucious Long Locks

Luscious long locks is a celebrity favourite at the moment but long hair can often be just as troublesome as a short bob or structured cut to keep on top of. It is easy for long hair to look bedraggled with thin splitting ends and it often lacks lustre. The look of being chased through the windy moors by Heathcliffe is possibly a dream come true for some of us but the matching hair style isn’t a good look for day to day. So the first thing to remember is to keep your long hair trimmed. Have the ends trimmed regularly and still have long hair styled, especially if your hair is thin. Thin long hair looks better with a few layers to give volume to the style and to prevent it hanging limply in one layer.

Recommended Hair Products

With this in mind I am going to share with you my favourite hair care products that will have your long locks looking amazing all year round:

Ojon Hair Care 5-Piece Nurturing Hair Ritual Kit
If you want your hair to have lustre, volume and bounce when you walk then try the hair care kit from Ojon. The kit contains;

  • Ultra hydrating shampoo
  • Ultra hydrating conditioner
  • Hydrating styling cream
  • Restorative hair treatment
  • Revitalizing mist spray

The Restorative Hair Treatment is a thick balm that contains 100% pure Ojon palm nut oil which is an active ingredient that helps to strengthen and fortify the hair. Ojon oil is a trusted ancient treatment of the native Tawira tribe from Central America, known as “the people of beautiful hair”. The oil does have a distinctive smell which I quite like but a few people have been less than enthusiastic about the fragrance. The smell is a warm nutty fragrance combined with a hint of chocolate. After several weeks of using the treatment once a week the improvement was noticeable and my hair felt thicker and smoother. It even seemed to hold its style better.

Moroccan Oil Curl Cream
If you have bouncy curls like Beyonce and you want to try the latest celebrity favourite hair product then Moroccan Oil Curl Cream is a must. The Moroccan Oil range contains Argan Oil and a blend of vitamins. The formula is a powerful antioxidant and with the combination of the vitamins it fortifies and strengthens the hair. This is important with long hair because the hair is older and becomes weaker. There is a whole selection of styling products in the Moroccan Oil range but if you have curly hair then the Curl Cream will enhance and define the curl and repeated use increases hold with added shine and protection.

Bumble and Bumble Sunday Shampoo
Repeated use of styling products can weigh hair down and the effect of this is often more dramatic with long hair, making the hair look limp and lifeless. Washing the hair with a shampoo that removes the debris and remains of styling products once a week is a must. Try Bumble and Bumble Sunday Shampoo, you don’t have to use it on a Sunday but it’s as good a day as any. The shampoo removes the build-up of chemicals and pollution from the atmosphere and generally gives the hair a detox. It contains ginseng, rosemary and sage which invigorates the scalp while leaving your hair more shiny and manageable.

Tarrino Tarantino Flower Flower Bobby Pin Set
Finally, long hair is so versatile for styling that pretty accessories are an essential part of the hair wardrobe. Grips to perk up your style or toggles to dangle in glee are Tarina Tarantino’s forte. You can go for a sophisticated look like Camilla Belle with a pretty clip at the nape of the neck or pin the hair in curly bun with some of Tarina Tarantino’s Flower pins. Tarina Tarantino’s range is so gorgeous and funky who wouldn’t want to be seen in it especially as celebrities such as Madonna and Cameron Diaz definitely do.
