3 Of course, what’s a Punctuation Day celebration without my personal punctuation nemesis, the semicolon?

The comma cake pans are from Fat Daddio’s (find them here) and the question mark cake pan was made by Wilton, but discontinued (Talley bought hers on Ebay).

    Oh, and . . .

You should really use a round cake pan that’s bigger than the comma (i.e., a 6″ comma pan, but a 7″ round cake pan; or, an 8″ comma pan paired w/ a 9″ round pan), because the comma pan runs a little bit large.

One note of warning: The comma cake pan is backwards, so if *you* want to make a semicolon cake, you’ll need to flip the cake over (but first trim the rounded top w/ a serrated knife so it’s level).
