oatmeal cream pies are a go!

We set out to recreate the classic oatmeal cream pie in our September issue, and Food Magascene tested our recipe to see how it compared to the store-bought version. We think homemade always has the advantage, and turns out, we were right! Added bonus—that cream cheese filling would be an awesome cupcake frosting, and the cookies are delicious on their own. You could also make these in a miniature, bite-size version for parties or bake sales.
